Shared Children
Kamala Harris' husband, Douglas Emhoff, shares two children, Cole and Ella, with his ex-wife, Kerstin Mackin Emhoff. Cole, 26, and Ella, 21, were named after jazz legends John Coltrane and Ella Fitzgerald. In an essay, Ella Kamala wrote that the children call Harris "Momala."

Doug and Kerstin were married for 16 years before divorcing in 2008. Kerstin is a film producer and founder of the production company Prettybird.
Kamala's Marriage to Doug
Harris and Emhoff wed in 2014 in Santa Barbara, California. Maya Harris, Harris' sister, officiated the ceremony.
