Mitchell Robinson Agrees To Contract Extension With Knicks

Mitchell Robinson Agrees to Contract Extension with Knicks

Robinson Signs Four-Year, $60 Million Deal

Center Out Indefinitely with Stress Injury

WEB The Knicks and center Mitchell Robinson have agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension. The deal was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Robinson has been a key part of the Knicks' success in recent years, averaging 8.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game last season. He is also one of the best defensive centers in the league, averaging 2.1 blocks per game.

However, Robinson has been sidelined indefinitely after sustaining a stress injury to his right foot. The Knicks will be without their starting center for the foreseeable future, which could be a major blow to their playoff hopes.

The Knicks are currently 1-2 in the playoffs, and they will need Robinson back if they want to make a deep run. In the meantime, they will have to rely on backup centers Taj Gibson and Nerlens Noel.
