Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow Discusses Comeback and Hopes for the Season

Burrow Provides Insights on Wrist Surgery Recovery

Cincinnati, Ohio - May 10, 2024

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow met with the media for the first time this season on Tuesday, offering insights on his comeback from wrist surgery and his hopes for the upcoming season.

Burrow, 27, underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his wrist in March. The injury occurred during the Bengals' Divisional Round playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.

In his first public comments since the surgery, Burrow said he is "feeling good" and "on schedule" in his recovery. He added that he expects to be ready for the start of the regular season.

"It's been a long process, but I'm making progress every day," Burrow said. "I'm confident that I'll be back to 100% when the season starts."

Despite the injury, Burrow remains optimistic about the Bengals' chances this season. He said the team has a lot of talent and potential, and he believes they can make a deep playoff run.

"We have a lot of work to do, but I'm excited for the challenge," Burrow said. "I think we can be a special team this year."

The Bengals open the regular season on September 11 at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
