At Least Four Confirmed Dead

Holdenville, Oklahoma was hit by a tornado around 10:45 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Doppler radar highlighted a telltale hook of rain and hail arcing around the area. According to the Associated Press, at least four deaths have been confirmed in the tornado outbreak in southern Oklahoma.

Calls to Take Cover Amid Severe Storms

The deadly tornado outbreak caused damage and prompted calls to take cover as severe tornado-spawning storms threatened the state. The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for several counties in Oklahoma, including Caddo, Custer, and Washita counties.
